Where Community
Meets Farm.

Welcome to Kitchen Farm Adelaide Hills.

We are a natural farm and ecosystem creating wellness and connection for the community.

Located on 8Ha of land in the award winning Newenham Estate in the Adelaide Hills, Kitchen Farm is focused on becoming an abundant farm for the whole community. Whether it be actively working in our farm community, purchasing naturally grown seedlings and produce, participating in paddock-to-plate dining experiences, or benefiting from farm education and workshops, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Our Team

The focus of Kitchen Farm is to empower resilience and wellbeing in the community, helping everyday people become educated, passionate and confident about soil health, biodiversity and growing and eating nutrient dense food through our program of workshops, events and paddock-to-plate dining experiences. This is the team that will get us there.

The Farm

Kitchen Farm is transforming 8 ha of under-utilised land in Neweneham Estate, into a sustainable productive farm. Underpinned by regenerative and permaculture principles, the farm supplies produce to the Pantry and our Nursery Store.

The Pantry

Kitchen Farm Pantry is an emerging and family-friendly, paddock to plate café, providore, and function space located in a restored garage and barn in the Adelaide Hills.

Community

Collaboration

Connecting the community to a healthy lifestyle and greater sense of well being and purpose through farm volunteer programs, education, workshops and events.

Verge Program

Newenham is committed to delivering abundantly planted verges with a diverse range of species to create a bio-diverse ecosystem to attract beneficial birds and insects in to the environment. Kitchen Farm is propagating plants as well as designing and planting these street verges. Community verge planting and maintenance programs and the introduction of edible plants into the verges helps to build community self-sufficiency and resilience as well as create community connection and wellbeing.

Farm with us

We will be looking to collaborate with like-minded farmers who share our values and ethos for natural and holistic farming and who would like to be involved in building a large-scale sustainable circular economy. Within the 8Ha of land available to us in Newenham, we plan on leasing farm plots, and collaborating with experienced practitioners in the space of bee-keeping, market gardening, chicken tractors, cut flowers, compost systems, animal grazing and production and even fruit tree orchards.

We have no limitations to our vision. If you are interested in finding out more please contact us to see how you may play a part.

Green Team

The Green Team is our foundation community collaboration program. The Green Team initiative which falls into Community Living Australia’s NDIS funded Day-Options Program, has been designed to enable CLA’s clients to participate in activities to maximise their engagement with community and learn important social and job-ready skills within a safe and productive work environment. Their contribution is helping to establish the farm as well as assisting to beautify and maintain the environment within Newenham.

“Our vision is for the community to enjoy natural farming, education and paddock-to-plate dining experiences, creating a greater sense of well-being for all.”
